Kayaking and Canoeing Courses

Shielbaggan OEC provides Kayaking Skills Courses up to Level 4 Proficiency and River safety Rescue courses.

Level 1 Kayak Skills
These Irish Canoe Union approved and certified courses run over 1 or 2 days and take place at a number of locations around the South East. Level 1 Courses are suitable for complete beginners and will give you all the skills needed to paddle on flat water.

Level 2 Kayak Skills
These Irish Canoe Union approved and certified courses run over 2 days and take place at a number of locations around the county. Level 2 Course are suitable for people with a little experience or a level 1 course and will give you all the skills needed to safely paddle on flat water, including basic rescues.

Level 3 Kayak Skills
This course introduces paddlers to moving water skills and consists of two days training followed by a 1 Day assessment. Previous experience to Level 2 standard is required (or proven considerable kayaking experience).

Level 4 Kayak Skills

CANOE COURSES
